Therapy peacock denied airplane seat with owner

Airline officials prevented a large, “emotional support” peacock from boarding a flight with its owner at the Newark Liberty International Airport in the US.
To the woman’s credit, she claimed to have a ticket for the large bird, as reported by website Live and Let Fly.
However, airline officials still denied the animal a seat, citing several violations in regulations. Its size was just one of the issues.
“This animal did not meet guidelines for a number of reasons, including its weight and size. We explained this to the customers on three separate occasions before they arrived at the airport,” said United Airlines in a statement to Fox News.
Photos of the support peacock have also surfaced on Facebook through The Jet Set page.

Netizens found the passenger’s behavior ridiculous or unnecessary act of selfishness.
One netizen pointed out that it may just be a scheme to avoid paying the necessary cargo fees for the animal.
Another netizen claimed to recognize the owner as an artist going by the name Ventiko.

The incident may appear comically head scratch-inducing, but similar situations may have long-term negative effects. Airports may become stricter with regards to servicing animals, which could impact people who really rely on such animals for their day-to-day functions. Alfred Bayle /ra
